
According to the manufacturer same blade cuts, wood, aluminium and steel, I think it is because the teeth face each other in pairs. First time I used it I was bricking it, I thought the teeth were going to jam on the metal and the thing would launch me over the top.Although a different blade presumably for metal cutting
Usually when I use it to cut metal I lock the slides fully back, and use it on the pivot so it works vertically, not horizontally. I have not used it that much but so far the cuts have been clean and straight.for metal cutting i wouldnt have thought it would be ok as the compound slide flexes.
