Ok, havent been here in a long time, Im back and active with welding again, having bought an Telwin MMA inverter recently.
I am pleased with the machine, it can burn 3,2 rods at 120 amps at 100%, so its more then I can handle lol.
Now I'm after a good quality auto helmet, since there will be quite a lot more welding that needs to get done.
I have it narrowed down to two that fit my budget and those are Esab Warrior Tech or Telwin Jaguar. Please tell me which do you think is better overall. I need it to last at least around 5 years, I think it is not unreasonable to expect that. Both helmets cost about the same, in range of 80 to 100 euro.
What I know is that ESAB doesnt seem to have user replaceable batteries, while Telwin does. I have tried EASB and it sits very good on my head, while I didnt try Telwin, altough it seems to have an odd shape for a welding helmet.
So if you were buying or if you have one, share your input, which one and why? Mostly going to use it on MMA around 100 to 140 amps, and some MIG up to 100 amps.
