Where to buy good batteries reasonably

AA......Packs of 20 or 30 Kodak batteries...... £1.00 a pack.....cheap as chips ....

the pound shops rechargable ones done really well with those had them years now and still using them

2004 batterys and also some new ones in 2012 both sets rechargable

for 7.00-9.00 for the full kit in aa or aaa

Agreed - Duracell industrial batteries, seem to be 50-60% price of the retail packs

Depends what you need them for, but just thought I'd mention lithium AA / AAA batteries.
More expensive, but have a really long shelf life, last longer and operate regardless of hot or cold climates where alkaline ones will not function.

If you have expensive kit , remove the batteries when not in use, but store them carefully, ive had so many batterys leak and destroy what they were fitted to.
Had a d cell leak inside a big maglite torch, burnt a hole tru the side of it and siezed the body solid, turned the lot into scrap,
Had aa cells leak inside a makita jobsite radio , battery holder destroyed , that was unavoidable as they were there for keep alive memory so pointless pulling in and out.
Are there dry cell batterys out there?

I only buy lithium if I can help it. Longer lasting, longer shelf life and much less likely to leak.

It's very annoying, had it happen a few times. I find the cheaper the battery brand the more likely they are to leak.

It's been a problem for decades and you'd have though by now they'd have stopped it happening.

I find the Lidl own brand batteries as good as anything else for std alkalines.

Decent Cordless phone batteries are harder to source. Ordinary rechargeable don’t like being on charge 99% of the time. Enerloop seem best so far but I am sure there’s better.
