Switch on the right...one of the wires has been left out because there were no lights on the end...there are now...which terminal should it go in?

That's so people can have poncy light fittings that have no space in the rose to put all of the wires.......
L1 is the one you want but check the others are still tight before putting the switch back on.

in other words he didn't know what he was doing. took a loss on an hour and said a rewireand i was going to ask somebody to sort ours out on this bodge up of a hole.
Had a sparky round as i was lost with what to do as in the hope he could to help with ours as when you turn on the stairs light the kitchen came on instead.
thats just the starters and after an hour he gave up. didnt charge us at least.
he said it would be easier to rewire.

wouldnt be that difficult to work out what should go where
crossed switch wire probably. did it ever work
my mate was the best . customer wanted 2 new lights fitting up so he said 30 quid . never heard anything and a week later they rang him up can u fix out lights I've got the wires mixed upmate said 60 quid
guy said u were only going to charge 30 for putting them up
mate said that's why I'm charging double to fix them .teach u a lesson
