where do you buy your cutting discs?

Hi all, I seem to be spending a small fortune on cutting discs.

I've been buying blue spot 1mm thick cutting discs for my 4.5" angle grinder. I buy them in packs but they work out to be about 48 pence each.. anyone know where i can get some decent discs cheaper?

The smith and arrow discs are good quality and well priced , there is a thread on them on the site somewhere Try a search and all will be revealed.

Two's up for smith and arrow, I just tend to buy them from their ebay shop in boxes of 25.
ebay prices seem to be the same as the forum even taking the "discount " into the equation, they are a pretty good disc and last a reasonable time.

gonna ring me brokers in the morning and increase me shares in welding supplies

I buy Dewalt ones at ten for a tenner, they come in a cool tin.
Does anybody want to buy a supply of 4 1/2 inch round tins?
Make great mini frisbees. You could put small pies in them or even store your cheapo cutting discs in them.

I've tried the Smith & Arrow and they are fairly good, but don't last as long as the Klinspor jobbies in my opinion.

£0.48p, now that's cheap and you want them cheaper. I have been paying around £1.00 from Machine Mart for my 1mm discs. Guess I better start looking else where,,,,,

Machine mart ones are truely shocking, I did a comparison whilst cutting some steel tube and found MM discs did about 2 cuts per disc compared to a good quality brand that did over 10 cuts per disc.

The MM ones seem to turn to dust lol.

boc ones for me the trade counter near me gives better discount than phoning the main order line.think they are flexovit with boc branding

hes put his prices up a bit now but at one point i was getting a box of 25 klingspor discs for a fiver with three quid postage.
Now thats what i call a bargain.
Bloody damn fine discs they are aswell.
He also does the same brand flap discs too.
He has the cutting discs up at £12 but make him an offer of say £8 and he should take it.

Ps/he also gets speedglass visor protector covers cheap too sometimes.
