Where do you all buy your stainless??

Hi all, just trying to find a good supplier.

Last November i had 304L 240G 1.2mm sheet, 3 sheets cut to 6 pieces of 1000mm x 1000mm and it was £318 delivered.

This year I was just quoted it would be £477, same supplier.

Cant have gone up that much in 9 months surely?

LOL, just got a reply from them and it seems they "quoted the wrong price" and it will be the same price as before

Still reply if you fancy, could be useful.

It could of been a plot to see if you would just reorder and not quibble at the raised price, Followed up by the correct price when you didn't respond straight away, That i just my sceptical nature, Question everything.

Steel stockholders around here have various levels of discount, depending on how big a customer you are. What I do for our lads at work is ring up and say "Hi, XXX calling from YYY, can i get a price on ZZZ" then say cash sale after they quote a price.
I think even at worst, they are still better than most online sites.

Watch for the things that you get cut up - they charge an arm and a leg for it usually... full sheets and lengths are much more reasonable.

Yeah all my stuff needs cutting down its a pain but no choice.
