Windings - are the terminals pressed into the black plastic bits?

the cable here was snaped heat or vibration 
cleaned and fix back together its working
there is a bit of a wiff i did clean the brushes comunitator so hope thats the reason and it duls down but if it lasts a couple more jobs it will last me another 2 years for the times i use it most what it does i use a multi tool for
