Hi all, i bought a portamig 215 some time ago and i have finally got back into the garage to use it!! I need to find some welding wire suitable for welding 2-6mm metal any suggestions? Also i need to find a good gas supplier i believe from doing a search i should look for argosheild for mig welding again any suggestions of a supplier in Winchester/Hampshire area. Thanks in advance Greg

Wire wise, 0.8 would be a good choice. for the machine and intended use.

Gas wise, ideally you have a mixed gas, like the Argoshield or Coogar. Supplier wise, i think theres a place in Portsmouth that do rent free cylinders.... im sure someone with moe info on the gas will be along vesoon.
