Where can i get gate latch springs from??

After a load of springs for making gates

The type on farmers field gates they are to go over a 20mm solid round bar around 150mm long

Obviously need to be easily compressible

Ebay and ironmongery online are turning up nothing

I'm after around 100 to start

X2, ours sells kits, come with pin, spring and roll pin.

Sprung handle gates are a real bugbear of mine though, hard to get the spring tension soft enough to be easy to open but tough enough to stop cunning livestock. And the noise!!

I'll post a pic of my favoured agri gate latch later. Not pretty enough for residential but cheap and quick to make and one hand operated, stealthily if necessary.

If so I use these cheap baler pick-up tines as spring loaded closers on all the gates on my small holding, pig pens and garden gate:

The poster needs springs that fit over the bolt itself, between the handle and upright flat bar on the galvanised example above , I think old car valve springs would probably be too strong Also quite a few are required,
