Where can I find some 8x8 box section

I'm after some 8x8 box section around worksop Nottinghamshire I have tried all local suppliers and all say they have to order it I'm after a meter off cut that's all. Does anyone know if Arksey in Doncaster have off cuts that size thank you

Have you tried, W. Twiggs in Matlock, I've always found them very helpful and they keep an off cut stock which most places would just scrap.

They use it for width restrictions round here. Just sayin'.....

Really though, 8x8 inch box section I would be down the local scrap yard waving a £20 note. It might be a while before something turns up but you'll get it for sure.

They sell off cuts/diy'ers stock by price/weight per kilo so it will depend on the current scrap value. I've seen 6 x 6 box there, I havent seen any 8 x 8 box in their diy'ers stock but that doesn't mean its not available, best phone and ask.

I'm wanting it to make a oil tank axle for my log splitter so not sure if 6x6 box section will be big enough I did get offered some a while back should have taken it

Why not fabricate it out of plate? You could even get someone to fold two halves or start from scratch.

Not common usually means mega bucks! Uncommon for a reason better choose a re design Imo if your not having to match

I was just thinking it would be an axle and tank in one but yes you are right probably work out cheaper thanks
