hello all, does anybody know of anywhere on line where i can buy a arbor / mandrel to fit a die grinder to take a grinding / cutting disk with a 10 mm centre hole.
thanks.
I can't help you with a supplier, but I suspect that a cutting disc that diameter will be too big for a standard die grinder (1\4" or6mm shaft size) to power?
I'm pretty sure that the small cut off saws are basically die grinders so there should be know problem there, what would worry me a bit is not having a guard on it. I've caught myself a couple of times with an ordinary grinder, wouldn't like to get caught by a thin cut off disk. It might be easier to just by a cut off saw, most of the arbours I found were either 1/4 or 1/2
the disk's i want to use are 3" cut off disk and as said above they run at just over 20.000 rpm and the other disk i want to use is a 2" grinding disk made for a small angle grinder and the disk have a max rpm of 27.000 rpm,
i already have one of them cut off tools mentioned above but you cant always get it in tight spots so i want to use a angle die grinder with the disk i know what your saying about the safty guard but somtimes needs must,
thanks.
ps a little tip for anyone that owns a cutoff tool the little 2" grinding disk fit inplace of the cutoff disk.
Sorry for the thread resurrection but I'm needing one of these to attach a 3" disc to my die grinder and there still doesn't seem to be an easy to find UK supplier. Anyone know where to get one??
I can't find a 10mm one for sale either. I don't have the facilities to turn down the shank anyway. Looking to buy something like this but from UK if possible
Thanks that's very kind of you. But that one comes from Hong Kong and would likely take even longer to arrive than one from the US. So I'm just going to order the US one which is the correct size and will hopefully be of better quality.
Can't believe I can't find one to buy here at home.
I have one of these.

It's been spot on for over a year considering how cheap it was. It will fit a standard cut off disk on the centre but the guard needed modifications for it not to catch and it does slow under load. But has been so handy for tight spots on cars and vans!
