Wher can i buy these from?

Hi all,

I have a job to make some food and drink tricycles and have to build a 'raise and lower' canopy into the legs of the storage box. Similar to this . The only way i can think of making the canopy legs telescopic are by making them how a fold out gazebo's legs are made (any other ideas would come in handy!!). I have found this picture on Google images and the square clip on the right hand side of the image would be perfect if only i new where to get them from . I could quite easily have box section sliding in and out of a larger sized box section but dont want to ruin the paint once finished, hence the reason i am after a plastic sleeve/trim for the box to run against instead. Any idea where i can find these clips?????? Thanks

How about using a chromed tube, shouldntr scratch and you can have one tube to slide inside the other

Rather than telescopic tubes could the stays at both end not be collapsable to the middle hinges ( like an elbow joint made of square section ) , ones that can be locked in the up position ..
This would make it easy for one person to raise the canopy on their own rather than have to mess around lifitng it a bit at a time all round .. several times to get the full height .

Troppo, it has to be box as this is what the customer wants.

Pidgeon Chit Welder, that sounds like a good idea. I have an image of how it would look but can you buy that sort of style hinge or would i have to make one? The way i have in mind wouldnt need lifting in different stages as it would only have two positions, up or down, there wont be any options for height therefore only needing to lift it in the middle to the fully open position.

TechnicAl, Yes the whole front end turns. There is lock to stop the bike from 'accidentally' turning when the coffee machine is on top.
