when stuff turns up !

I bought discs and pads for the spare car a while ago, came to fit them, cant find the front discs,

bought more thinking they will turn up...
I suppose I will have them next time I need them?

Personal stuff is chaotic but business stuff is reasonably organised with a 38,000 part number list and box/rack locations but when we moved 8yrs ago in the rush to load the 4 40 foot artics some of the parts got moved into other boxes, still not found the missing items and as usual its stuff people ask for!!!

I'm in the process of listing all the tools I own and materials to hopefully keep on top of it and clear out the excess

I started a list off 3 years ago, still haven't finished it!.

Been using an app called "Inventory", you can attach a photo to each item if you want.

I have lost a scope rail and sight. Pal of mine (fortunately) gave it to me to sort out, I milled the rail, all good. Can I find it? Not a chance and I have looked everywhere.*

Just think how much simpler life would be if you put tools back in their dedicated storage "homes" after you use them.

The next time you needed them they'd be right where you left them, ready and waiting. Which means you'd have more time to do the job that the tool was needed for and you'd be better off because you wouldn't spend money buying something that you already had.

Nope and frankly it is now becoming embarrassing, wasn't a cheap thing either!
