Just a bike one,I want to have a go at improving this buckled wheel,as you see,it’s touching the left brake,do I tighten the spoke/s 180 opposite? Thanks.
No, not 180 degrees around the opposite side of the wheel. Find the one or two spokes in the middle of the deviation from true, and then tighten or loosen, as appropriate. If the buckle isn't too bad, a single spoke, or couple of spokes should be all that needs adjusting, but also look at the up/down deviation of the rim, and act accordingly, in terms of tightening/loosening spokes. If the up/down deviation is bad e.g. it's been ridden up a kerb, then completely loosen something like four spokes, pass a rope through the wheel at that point and over the rafters, and pull down on the rim, then re-tighten the spokes as much as is necessary.
