Currently I've a 15 plate Octavia 4x4, takes 225/45/17 tyres. Lower trim spec variants use the 205/55/16.
Previously I'd a 12 plate Octavia which took 205/55/16 tyres, I have a set of winter tyres left over from that car.
I'd like to use them on the current car this winter, my reckoning says that the difference between those two sizes is negligible (0.8" width, 3 revs/mile or 0.1" in rolling circumference) so that's not where I'm scratching my head.
According to what I can find online, Octavias of old were 5 x 100 PCD, mine is 5 x 112 PCD.
I thought wheels could pretty much be swapped around betwen VAG cars of say the last decade without hassle? Or am I wrong?
I've found a set of 5 x 112 Audi alloys at a decent price not too far away
