Wheel masking covers

I've a few alloy and steel wheels to restore with the tyres fitted and I see that you can now get covers to protect the tyres.

It would certainly save a lot of masking off but any of these covers I see only seem to go around the outer side of the rim.

That's not much use when you want to paint both sides of the rim!

Is there any of these covers that will do both sides at the same time or do I have to use 2 per wheel?

And can they be used more than once?

Or is there another simple way of masking off a tyre?

watch it with bin bags , paint doesnt always stick to it , so second coat of paint all the overspray will flake off and go in the new paint

if those proper ones are cheap why not use 2 ?

I have a roll of 6" DPC. I cut them to roughly 6" lengths, release the air from the tyre and whilst pressing on the sidewall with a long bar, push them just between tyre and rim by about a centimeter or so then stagger the squares in overlaps.
