wheel centre bore opening

Looking at possibly buying some alloys but the centre bore might be slightly too small at 57.1mm, I need 59.1mm, I know it's possible to open it out on a big lathe but i'm wondering if you chaps know anyone near me in Ayrshire that could do this and what I can expect to pay?

Easy enough for someone whoknows what there doing. Need swinging in a 4 jaw chuck and clocking up the ID of the centre then just bore out to finished size...

Thats how I do them, don't go by the outside rim as they ain't always perfectly round, clock the inner then bore out is the correct way to do it.

good to know it's an easy job for a pro, anybody know any good firms round my way that could do it?

Don't be to hell bent on looking for someone with a lathe big enough to swing the wheels. Anyone with a bridgeport or similar size mill mill can also do them with ease or a small machining center for that matter. It's often my preference to mill them as setting up is easier and faster.

Yes he does do some great stuff but very slow I have been waiting over two months for a small part to be made for a set of bike carbs still not done
