What's your favourite workshop work light?

I haven't had too much luck with work lights, they rarely last more than a year. What lights are you using and how are you finding them?

I have the two below now. The blue Draper is nice and solid, but not great for hand holding or inspection work. I has a yellow light setting which is good when working late as it doesnt mess with sleep. The yellow one is ok but it's cheap and already starting to fail.

Favourite right now is my LED fingers. I didn't get on with the hat she gave me as the light wasn't necessarily pointing at my hands; so she upped her game this year found a sorta pair of fingerless fingers with LEDs attached; so I have an LED on my forefinger and thumb. magic things sometimes.

What did I use when I worked on cars all the time. Old bike indicator with bulbs from the scrappy or the bulbs that had been replaced cos the other filament had gone. They were run off the car being worked on's battery, I had loadsa bulbs and they were free.

DeWalt dcl050...has a hook in the top plus it stands up on the battery.

Lasts a long time...I usually use clone batteries with it as it's a slow drain. Nice and bright...but can be turned down to prevent my welding helmet from tripping

This one:

I found it on the side of the road when walking home from the pub. It keeps charge for a long time, and doesn't take all that long to charge back up again. It also has separate buttons for the main light and the smaller beam on the end of the body, so I don't end up having to press it five times to go through all the different options before it turns off again.

I bought a Sealey one at the NEC Restoration Show a while back (this one, or one very much like it: https://www.sealey.co.uk/product/56...0-slim-inspection-light-8w-1w-smd-led---black ), and while it's pretty good, it also doesn't hold charge all that long, and takes ages to charge. I've tried several different chargers (including the one that charges the found light) and it can take ten afternoons to go from one LED to all five on the charge indicator. I don't leave the electric on when I'm not at the shed, so I don't know if it would charge better if I could leave it going. But for what I paid (which I forget, but it's easily the most expensive one I've bought, but not as much as on that link) I was disappointed.

The biggest trouble I have with them is that when I'm working on some parts of the daily driver, such as in the rear wheelarch, there's nothing to hold it in place because there's very little exposed metal for the magnet to stick to. Nice thing about the found one is that it has a little hook in the top, so it might be better. Most of them usually just end up moving around until they're inevitably shining directly into my eyes.

I got a floor work light, elwis brand
Bought a few years ago,
Thing is stupidly bright and doubles as 240v lead as has add on plug on the back.

Use it for mot welding etc as can light up the whole underside of a vehicle.

Certainly is a beast, Thing is more like a shoebox size but silly bright. More like a street light!!

I have a Nightsearcher Pro 250.

Few years old but seems to have held up well. It is probably outclassed by many new lights now, but its handy enough with a range of magnets and a hook and a swivel base.
The cradle charger is also useful to save faffing about with USB cables.

I have a number of LED jobsite/task lights, but they are not always convenient to get into where you want to be.
