It doesn't go in a drill, it goes in your hand !
As said, hit it, turn it, rinse and repeat. Excellent at the top of a ladder before battery drills were invented, and even now has it's uses, as you don't have to push hard as with an electric drill, pushing the ladder away from the wall.
I've sunk MANY holes with Rawl Drills !

You literally whack it with a hammer and then use a spanner to turn the body and then whack it again. You need the fat hex to get a decent sized spanner on to get enough purchase to turn when deep.

I expect half of them are deaf anyway just go round and pinch their batteries.This mainly gets used in "Nursing Care Homes" where power tools can disturb the "Service Users"

It should be one of my 'things that bug me' you are booked in to do a days work, turn up spend the first hour moving furniture which should have been moved before you got there, start drilling the slab and some PA comes in to say that they are having a video call in the next room.your all heart![]()
