Dad found it and gave it to me when he realised it wasn't a rivnut tool.

There's a hardened steel part with an angled slot in it which retracts into the body when the handle is squeezed, like so;
It doesn't seem to be for cutting anything, no relief angles and nowhere for the waste to go. Behind the hard bit there's a smaller brass part which can be pressed flat

The whole head can be rotated to any angle, or unscrewed, the case has a foam inlay with holes in it for more "ends" to be stored.
Back side of the head, big heavy spring inside it.
Any ideas?
