What's this pump then?

Anybody know what this is?
I'm guessing it's some sort of pump!
There are 2 barbed brass connections on the end but it also has what looks like possible oil fill and bleed screws?
The barbs are possibly marked with I & O which might be In/Out or might just be random scratches!
It also has a sticker saying it contains asbestos so I'm not that keen on taking it apart to see what's in there!

Not powered it up as I don't want to run it dry. Or do I?

My guess is that it's a diaphragm pump looking at the shape of it.

Look to me like it’s a rotary vane vacuum pump, should be oil filled, yes the vanes will have asbestos in them,older style medical suction units use this pump.If it’s used be careful, the pump assembly can be contaminated if it’s sucked something up past the filter.

i use google.co.uk seam to get better results if searching for stuff to buy
