I need to make a new wheel spindle to take a larger bore bearing than the original. Nothing too challenging, it'll be as per the photo below but with a larger diameter across the centre section. When it comes to the scolloped pieces at the end which have a taper with an allen bolt to clamp them they have a white coating presumably for grip. It's not as hard as paint and seems almost like a rubberised coating. Anyone know what it might be?
