Thingumies, worth thousands if you have a complete set with the box and instructions. As is about 2p.

Yes they lock like panel beating dollies with a handle that they attach to for holding against hard to reach areas.
There might not be a specific name for them just a good idea/ design that's different.
Possibly made by Sykes Pickavant many years ago. They still make nice tin bashing tools.
