What’s this box table worth

A year or so ago I bought a big 7ton radial arm drill. I picked up this box myself.
Truck driver picked the drill up as agreed and took it back to his yard as it was too late to drop off to me, he needed the £700 charge first which I paid His son died of a od before he delivered it. I told him not to worry about me or my drill and to call me when he’s ready.
He finally resurfaced 6months later to inform me I owed him £2000 rent for storage while he was on the missing!
Told him to poke the drill somewhere, that’s what happens when you’re understanding

Anyway I’m left with the box table that owes me a fortune
What do you reckon it’s worth?

It probably is possible to sell it for more than £700. I'd probably try my luck with £1200 and bite their hand off for £600.

It will be condition dependant so you might need to clean it for the big bucks. I certainly wouldn't let it go for less than £500, so long as none of the slots are broken out and the surfaces aren't too badly marked.

As for the drill, if you bought and paid for it, it remains your property. If there had been a contract regarding storage, he might get away with charging for it but if not, you have every right to just go get it.

Better hurry up, he's probably going to sell it though if you catch him at it, that's a whole other ballgame. it is still your property...

Sometimes you just have to let things go.

Then pop back a year or two later with some iron filings on a damp night.

Just to give you an idea, ive bought two T slotted tables recently, 4ft x3ft, 420 quid each. They were horizontal borer beds but have been sat on cast legs for quite some time.

I think 500-600 quids a good estimate

I have seen it. It's in very good condition and will clean up nice.

It’s actually not that’s rusty I only evicted from the workshop a month ago.
It weighs about a ton 52”x36”

Wow that’s a lovely lump. Very nice to see the slots down the sides too. Not common to see that.
I’d love the space to home such a thing wouldn’t have any issues giving you full £700 for that. Worth every penny. it would be sat on a nice frame and given many uses.
Fact of the matter is the bike isn’t going outside so I can’t have it.
I hope you recover your costs mate.

I’ve seen some far rougher plates of similar sizes fetch more than that.
I’d be looking to recover all £700.
It looks too good to let go for 500.
