The "stacked dime" look is normally found on a TIG (GTAW) weld. It seems to be a desired look in a MIG weld in the US, for some reason, but you'll find it's actually weaker. (pretty things are usually not strong, eh?)
I've seen some pics on this site of very smart stacked mig welds done on a synergic machine, but you need to pay a lot of money for a set that will do that by itself and make a good job of it.
Here's the pic. It's stainless, done on a pulsed Mig (not necessarily synergic)
