Pure argon is just that - 100% argon. It is used for TIG welding
The others are Argoshield which is a BOC product name for mild steel MIG welding. They all contain a small amount of oxygen and varying amounts of CO2, and the rest of the composition is argon. See the compositions here: http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/gas-composition.htm
The light is best for thin steel, heavy for thick steel, and universal is in the middle for those welding a variety of thicknesses but who only want to buy one bottle.
