get it going would be the first move as far as I know being in the north old work working machiners is worth very little alot of small firms have been going into liquidation and the market is flooded.
no idea pal I would give it a rub down so it looks used then leave to a local auction house. It might be worth something but without seeing it I dont want to tell you it is worthscrap value especially if it is in good working order and has not seen alot of use.
would it weigh a ton? my area number 1 grade steel is about 180-200 per ton. not much is it?
If you can get it working a quick video uploaded on YouTube with a link in the listing can add value as seller can see it working then
and another possibility
sorry I cant contact the chap whos posted the wanted--I`m not a member.

Wheels in motion, good luck, hope it finds a new home and a few deserved bob in your pocket, hate to see machinery scrapped and wasted.

top site this
"Yes, ebay could be a runner, start it at scrap price and see what happens. I've no problem sticking it on a pallet and loading at this end."
I wouldn't start it at the scrap price as a high start price or a reserve puts a lot of people off. Start it at 99p on a Sunday evening with 7 days to run. If it doesn't reach a high enough price get a mate to buy it back at the last minute. Don't sell over Xmas though as most people have other ideas for their surplus cash over the festive period.
Get the buyer to arrange collection in person or by a pallet freight company.
Don't forget that if they pay using PayPal you will lose 3%.
If you know anyone interested in this let me know, I'll be loading it on the scrap trailer soon.
