What torch???

If You was being sent out to america for a weeks work, and could there for return home with a Tig Torch @ American Prices, what would you buy???

Weldtec speedway or a CK master tig

Have you used the CK superflex cables? they make so much difference wouldn't want to buy a new torch without them or something very similar.

I we forget the quality of the weldtec speedway for a min, its quite standard!!!!!!!! in as much is its got a rigid and non changeble head etc

Ck super flex cables are just silicon over braid. I have one. They are no more flexible then the weldcraft or weldtec flexible cables. The difference is ck like to shout about it.
Id bring home a handful of weldtec torches. They are the best.

Yeah I must admit the stubby ones do look handy tools.
I quite like the Look of the Ihead ball joint ones too.

The saving will be considerable if you can avoid paying taxes etc on it. They are made over there so less hands for it to get through before yours and less people taking a cut.
Planning a trip or just curious.

not sure if its best to carry the tig torch in hand lugage or pack it in the container will all the countless other things

Yep put her safely in the container mate. Last thing you want to do is lose it at customs for any reason or at least research it extensively with the airline. I'd be bringing one of those Jackson w70 baulders back too lol. Let me know if you have a little free space and I'll pm you the "rich wish list" lol.

Tig torch definitely pack in the hold... I won't bore you with the details but I managed to get a carry on full of hand tools onto an air France flight at lhr, only to then not be allowed to board with it in cdg, same airline, 'one Europe' etc...
