what to use over a blob of braze

Hi

I am welding in a reinforcing plate for my roll over bar.
For some strange reason. There is a small inch and a half bit of brazing in the area were I want to weld this plate.

Its strange as its only on one side of the car.
Its definitely not a repair and there is no other brazing on the whole car.

Anyway whats the best wire to use to weld the steel plates

If the brazing was done with oxyfuel then the wire was likely around 40% zinc, welding right next to it with TIG is likely to get messy

Pics would be useful, when we can see what you're talking about you'll get more/better advice...

welding near braze isn't going to happen unfortunatly.

as far as a TIG is concirned braze is dirt if your trying to weld and needs to be cleaned off. or it'll smoke and spit like crazy when it burns off

I have got rid of braze by heating up with oxy/cet to over red then blasting it with an air line but be careful it goes everywhere you have to do it loads of times, once you have it down to a thin skim you can blast through it with the mig

I ended up googleing it. And decided to cut it out to be on the safe side.
