Before you all say throw it.
I was given a Sip 105 welder 10 years ago when i thought it would be great to learn Mig welding but thought that my welding technique was so bad that it just sat there. Now i'm taking a course in welding and that i've joined this great forum i discovered that maybe it wasn't just me and prehaps the welder just needed a service(although it was given to me with just half a spool of 0.7kg used). I Replaced the Plastic Liner(Which was bunged up) and replaced with a net curtain wire liner(Great tip for those on a budget)
Cleaned the rollers and fed some clean wire through. Voila All seems fine although the wire does slip on occasion. Next mod coming. lol
So here's my problem, when i started my course i took the advice of most on a budget and bought a Clarke 160en which i am most happy with.(Cracking little welder). So do i keep both and use for different set ups or should i sell and recoupe some of the money on the clarke?
Please Help.
