Just wondering if anyone has aby ideas about tig machines of ebay? I am a newbie to tig welding but all other forms of welding I am confident with I have not tried tig welding yet and wanted to have a go at it as it looks like a bit of fun and also looks practical I have a budget of about 500 au dollars and the machines I were looking at were maxweld and rossi the maxweld is ac dc tig machine wich might come in handy later for aluminium welding any advice or thoughts would be appreciated cheers

the first one yes looks ok but it does look like a chinese copy so would be careful.
As for multi purpose machine's if one part packs up there is a good chance it all stops working.
if you are wanting to do aluminium you should think of raising your budget 1500 au dollars.

I have the Tec-Arc 206i version of that machine, now called the 216i.
I have a sneaking suspicion that is possibly a new case for the WSME200 clones!
You could try Token Tools. They have a good reputation and they are located in Australia.

i have the tec-arc 206i unit as well great machine.
there are so many cheap copys you do have to careful when you buy and research before you spend the hard earned cash.

the ones in this link look like the evelast and r-tech units.
this is the thing you do have to look into it before you buy
i have on a few time's paid out on cheap and wish i never did.
Thanks everyone for the reply's they are muchly appreciated I do know you have to be careful and theres nothing worse soending your hard earned in a ****** product haha I did buy a cheap mig of ebay tho and to be honest it is a great machine and produces some cracking welds when you replace the tip and wire and gas cup with good quality stuff h ere is the link to that machine
