What steel should i be using?

Another question from me

I need to make a set of seat adaptors for my rig build. The ones for sale are not the right shape or size so best make my own.

The image below is of what i need to make but to suit my needs. Just wondering what steel i should be using to give good strength without being massivly thick?

I dont think you need anything special. The shapes of these things give them rigidilty.

I'd weld some up out of 3mm by whatever depth you need strip. Two pieces with a right angle and a hole and a piece to join them together.

Awesome cheers do use think 2 or 3mm will be good enough? It has to hold the weight of the seat and driver
