What size of generator do l need

hi - I have a couple of welders one a clarke 151 mig and a 160 arc. what size of generator do i need to power and use to weld thanks for any info that you can give me

Minimum about 4.8kva probably 6kva for the arc at full blast.

a big one.

look on the data plate of the welder, it will have a kVa value. That is the minimum you will need for that welder. Make sure it is avr too, migs don't like an unstable feed

I'd suggest 6.
As said, look at what the welder requires, then add 50% for the real world figure.
And don't get confused between KW and KVA, they're different.
