Ok so thinking of migrating from ARC to MIG based on advice already given.
I can upgrade the power supply to 32A so was considering a R-Tech 251 Digital Industrial MIG Welder (240v) 30-250A which can use 1mm wire and rated to 9mm weld thickness.
I need to weld all 4 edges of the end of the 10mm square bar onto the side of 20mm square bar - so 4cm length of weld if you see what I mean. Looks like a T piece.
Questions
- is 1mm wire the right size for this application?
- is this machine overkill (0.8mm wire systems are cheaper)?
- will penetration be good?
- any better machines at that price point or less!
Sorry - don't know much about MIG yet
Thanks again
