My boy does a bit of banger racing and wants to get a cheapish welder to take down the track for repairs to his cars.
We have a Lincoln welder at home but don't want to take that racing with us as it will only get ruined/abused,so we are thinking along the lines of a 300 pound budget and have seen the clarke/m-mart mig 160tm,am i right in thinking this machine can take the big size bottle and does it come with the right regulator included for the big and half size bottles?.

If we were to purchase this machine what size kva generator would i need to run this size of welder and what generator would you recommend,would a 500 pound budget be enough??.
