i just checker my black book and parallel BSP is 11.5(Rp Series) fastening (G Series) is 11.8 and Taper is 11.2

indeed the 1/4" drain valve screwed right in nice and tight

i buy all my broken sizes from tracy tools always good quality and a decent price

Even using a 12mm I would bet you would still shear a brass quick release connector/hose tail off instead of stripping the thread first.
