800, although you wouldn't normally clear over solid colour, you would use a black basecoat and go straight on after its kicked off with the clear.
You could of also gone wet on wet on the black with the clear.
The base is celly langy and imho a bit soft, I got some 2k lacquer to cover it and make it a bit tougher because its on the fork legs and covers on a bike. So you reckon flatten with 800 and clear it then ?
Could just use some grey scotchbrite
Yep grey would do the job, Personally I would block it out but maybe the OP doesn't want to go that far.
How do you mean block it out langy ?
800 wet with a block to get it all flat & straight mate
We use 1200 grit.
I think anything over 1000 grit= adhesion problems
