Of course you can. You can also smoke while filling petrol or jaywalk. Just because the coroners do not make complaints on the deceased's behalf it doesn't mean they are safe. :-)
Note this from the ad...
Government legislation states that anybody spraying with isocyanates should always use a positive pressure air fed full face respiratory breathing system for full protection
No I have no time for Elfin safety nannies but the risks are clear.
if you dont have an air fed id stay away from 2k
the isocyanates in the 2k can give you asthma it can also cause you to have a blocked nose like you have with a common cold which is a permanent thing amongst other things
You not only have to think about your own safety here.
Theres also the safety of your neighbours and every other
unsuspecting member of the public who happens to be in the
vicinity when your spraying cyanide all over the shop!
This is why bodyshops have filtered spray-booths.
Also heres one that ive often pondered-
You know when your wet flatting 2k clearcoat and you
get that white deposit that dry's and gets caked all over
your bucket/hands/overalls and everywhere else!
Does this contain cyanide too??
It obviously must do mustn't it?
My advice is this-
If you haven't got access to a proper fully filtered Air fed spray booth Then leave the 2 pack to the men who have.
What would be the best or most suitable paint to spray small items of equipment such as cement mixers, car axle stands etc etc, I am sure there is a type of spray applied paint for machinery? and what would be the percentage of thinners to a litre of paint? and what would be the PSI at the spray gun end?
