What Mig Welder?

I currently own a sip top mig 140 turbo and can not get on with it at all. I am thinking of selling this and getting something better. I will be welding mostly car bodywork but also will need to weld 3mm steel onto car bodywork for roll cage platforms for rallycars. Will also be welding some roll cages and various box section. I would like a welder that would do all of the above comfortable and to be reliable. I have used a cebora in the past and found this to be a good welder.
My budget would be under £400 but would strecht to just under £500 if needs must.
Could anybody point me in the right directions and give me some rough prices? As im sure most of you on here know more about welding and welders than me.

A Clarke 160T (approx £200) would be right up your street, many on this forum own them, many use them for just what you want it for, and say they are very good for the money.
If you can afford it a Portamig 185 (approx £490 ish) is a welder on the next level, and will go down to 20 amps to make car panel welding that much easier. British made to order. give Weldequip a pm and ask him for prices he can have them delivered to your door. Or maybe he will see this a reply.

as zardos says dependent upon your buget if you dont wana spend loads ov money go for a good clarke will nok spots of the sip but if you wana spend a bit more go for a portamig you wont go wrong custom built made to order british made exelent machine
