Hi All,
Hope everyone's well.
Rookie and annoying question here I'm sure. I'm looking to buy a new welder, MIG welder for gas use only as the results are always much better with gas in my experience. I was looking at Clarke MIG230TEC MIG Welder, which has very good reviews, though I know there are tons to choose from. Basically, I will be welding mild steel sheet and box section, 1.5mm ERW wall thinnest and 10mm mild steel plate thickest. I don't have 3 phase at the moment sadly. I just wondered what brands are very good in peoples eyes. I like sealey, but don't mind paying more for something less hobby and more pro. A mate of mine has a Lincoln and another a BOC, though they are very dear.
Ideally I was looking to use for TIG welding also, but I'd rather keep it simply and just stick with MIG, as when I come to doing the TIG welding, I shan't be using it a great deal.
Thanks in advance all.
Best, James
