I've not played with one since the sixth form. That was a Hounsfield. We also had an Izod for testing shear strength.

They're pretty substantial. You're potentially testing high tensile steels and, even with a small cross-sectional area, there's a good load on the frame.

Looking again, I'd reckon easily a ton or maybe more. There are some substantial castings there and it's floor mounted.
