what invoicing software do you use??

After a program to do all my invoices

Simpler to use the better

Prefer one that i can get a app with so i can use on my phone but essential that I can use it on the laptop

Nothing fancy just the basic name,description,total,vat

Just getting to be a pain bow having to write my vat number in all the time plus i want something that looks a bit more professional

Our boss uses Sage. I think mose small businesses use some sort of Sage app

Quicken was good but if you want to submit your stuff to an accountant they nearly all use Sage so it makes sense to use that.

I use Moon on my Mac you can get the phone app to its only £5 or something like that and it does the trick

I used Sage when I ran a company and needed P&L and balance sheet.

Now I use a spreadsheet, just make a blank invoice, copy it and fill details into the copy, calculate, save & print.

My invoices are labour only, if you have parts with part numbers, and you need stock control it gets a bit more complicated.

Quickbooks - easy, cheap, accountant is happy with it. Been using it for 20+ years (firm, not me personally)

But offers no chance to change anything if you make a mistake

But the main reason is if i write out 99 invoices then lose the book I'm screwed!

No reason why that can't be done, just build a template. All my acc, (barr invoicing) are done in excel.

(Use to use TAS Books, who I beleive Sage bought out for some code they wanted)

if you PM me some details or want to email me your logo etc and what info you want on there such as unit price, quantity, labour etc i may be able to knock you something up later tongiht in excel. i used to make my own invoices and had no problem with them. i used to print blank invoices for on the job invoicing (handwritten) to domestic customers and keep on saved on the computer to fill out to be emailed out to companies i did work for so i could get paid etc

putting logos in is easy, just inserting images and aligning as wanted

Been using sage for 15 years does all you need and can even produce a full set of accounts

FreeAgent, http://www.freeagent.com/, is good, I used it to run the accounts for a couple of companies. I think there's a phone app for it too so you can generate invoices on the go. I used to whack everything into there then just hand it off to the accountant to do the end of year accounts.

I think I've got a referral code kicking around that gets a 10% discount off the listed prices.
