What Helicoils

Anyone know a decent supplier/brand.

RS and Zoro stock Bollhoff which look decent. Seem to be stamped up with the proper helicoil logo.

I need an M6x1 12mm insert kit.

Don’t want knock off kits as this is going into cast.

There is another top quality inset, Called Timesert?. I have not used them but seen some very good video's etc, They seem to have a small thin flange at the top edge,

Needs to be a helicoil in this situation. But yes they’re quality things

I'd try calling Cromwell Tools or the one and only XR Fasteners.

Volkel (v-coil) are excellent and well priced.

I've no complaints from recoil and v coil kits and I've installed quite a few, I think as long as they are a known brand you will be ok.

Absolutely love Timeserts. Went to get a new 8mm kit. Nearly fell over when I saw the price, my eyes are still watering. Wurth sell them.
Bought a V-Coil kit and helicoiled it instead.

Most of my helicoil work is tiny stuff 3mm 3.5mm 3/16" and cheap helicoils just do not cut it.
