What grade of aluminium strip for bending?

I need a small (about half a metre) length of 20mm wide x 4mm deep aluminium strip to bend into shape for U-brackets on one of the bikes, for a fairing bracket. What would be a suitable grade of ali that is amenable to bending? I'll be bending it round a piece of small diameter rod to minimise stressing the ali (and applying some heat), but would prefer a grade that isn't going to snap at the slightest provocation.

20 x 4 is not a standard size flat bar, 3/4" x 1/8" or 3/4" x 3/16" are readily available, 4mm is a standard sheet thickness though it might be worth buying a piece of grade 1050 sheet and cutting some strips, if you can, bend them on a press using a top tool with a dia of about 2 to 3 x metal thickness, no need for heat, but bend it slowly.

Thanks for suggestions, much appreciated. The original brackets on the bike were 20mm x 4mm, so assumed it was a standard size. But the bike is Italian...
