Ah, I thought it might be near enough to your shed/workshop/base to run a decent extension.
Someone will be along to advise on 'start-up' current requirements for a welder on a genny, it's not something I'd like to advise on.
There have been similar questions asked before on the forum iirc, a search while you're waiting for response(s) might give you some idea.

Probably you will get by with a true 5kw hoewer they are few generators that can muster a true sine wave and a clean 5kw of power
oh right... is it with it being a small welder then with having it hooked up to a genny.

Petrol/diesel powered welder.
Power plant and welder in one.
Might be best to arrange hire of one for the duration.
Prep as much as you can before hiring to keep times to a min.

Is a gasoline engine driven welder build in the 1970s
It have 4,5 kW 380V outlet and 220V 3kW outlet
170A 100% duty cycle 120V open circuit
Is a good welder and a good Genny .
I lovely call it "Gervasio" or "Geraldina"
To do mig or fcaw or gas shielded flux cored you need to use a wire feeder
I used it with 6010 6013 7018 and stainless rods .
The only defeat is the weight 60 kg at least but is the better option if you have to work outside without current
