We've just bought a cheap little Ford Fiesta Finesse 1.3 so my wife can practice her learner driving skills (!) with me as the obligatory terrified/nervous/ratty experienced driver. The car is in surprisingly good nick for a '99 plate, but I notice that there's some surface rust on the underside of the car that I'd like to get under control fairly quickly.
In particular the seam where the sill meets the floor pan has some surface rust that I'd like to strip and treat, but I want to do it with a minimum of damage to the sill paintwork, which is in really quite good condition (no evidence of plating, welding or re-painting).
What flap wheels/disc should I be using? Are there less aggressive equivalents of the knotted wire radial wheels available, for instance? Any websites where I can peruse the options would be appreciated. I'd prefer something I could bolt onto a 115mm / 4.5" angle grinder if possible.
