Hi,
I've recently bought myself my first welder, a secondhand clarke 90en (£15
) that is set up to use gas-less wire. It works but the wire is a little rusty so I was going to take the opportunity to replace the liner and get some new wire / tips to make the learning process as easy as possible. Having read through the tutorials on here I get the impression that I'd be best off converting to gas.
My question is, apart from a bottle of CO2/Argon, a regulator and some new wire is there anything else I need? Unfortunately I'm not collecting it till the weekend so haven't been able to look at it at length to work out what's would be missing (gas pipe?)
I intend to use the welder purely for thin (0.8mm) body panels and was going to buy 0.6mm wire and tips. Am I barking up the right tree?
Cheers,
Rob
