Whilst wiring up my 32 amp and 16 amp sockets i remembered this
now is it just a amp meter to see what current is going through the socket
Never heard of them lol bit.like a 16amp but metal with screw on capyes I presume that's an old reyroll socket to the left of ammeter
yep it isNever heard of them lol bit.like a 16amp but metal with screw on cap
I HAVE a few of those type plugs dotted about the garageThey were usually 50v/55v if I remember correctly. They had a fused plug with the longer top pin being a screw in fuse.
Cool so I can just change that socket to a 32 amp too
you would need to change the supply fuse, otherwise you could get 60A out of a 32A socket, or the socket and cable would melt before the 60A fuse blew.
the box may contain two current transformers, on 0-40 it reads the bottom (0-4) scale, 0-100 reads the top scale(0-10).
yes thats them! similar to my garage, although I do not have any plugs for them so safer for me to swap them overView attachment 145100 Never new they were called that marked 15A

its only fues wire but I hear you 30amp fuse wire for a 32 amp socket, the box only contains the ammeter and a few wires going to the switch with a ferrite coil and a few resistors or diodes so i am guessing it just switches the aameter readings
i will take a closer look later the switch label says that tooThe ferrite coil will be a CT (current transducer) if there is 4 wires coming off it then it must be a dual wound 0-40A and 0-100A 1 or 5A secondary output.
You must be putting in a tasty machine to warrant the 32amp plug![]()
The new 16 amp supply and 32 amp supply are in and ready to be used by my new to me mig. First proper proper mig I have owned or used View attachment 145384
