I bought a new Clarkes 90EN off ebay. The box had not been opened. A year later I finally have something to weld, I set it up, plug it in and there's nothing. I changed the fuse 3 times. I checked the cable with a meter. The switch had continuity when on and no continuity when off. Have I wasted my money or is there something I can do?

Reading the electrical part of it i see there is a section on what size extension lead to use if your using one, also make sure you have the correct 13amp fuse.
failing that your local Machine mart may be able to recommend a solution, look on their website for your nearest branch

When you say "nothing" have you tried pulling the trigger? or are you waiting for the illuminated on/off switch to light up as some Clarke models only light up on thermal overload.

I thought pulling the trigger was the first thing you'd test to see it it works
