What coolant oil for metal band saw?

Hi does anyone have any recommendations for soluble coolant oil for a metal band saw il attach the photo of the band saw. It has a coolant system that feeds through a pump to the blade. I seen some on amazon but im not sure if it’s the correct stuff to use. I got it second hand so there’s no instructions etc.

water soluble cutting fluid . coolant ,,, the good old white stuff multisol springs to mind ,,, any of the big oil folk will do one .

If you want to get technical/geeky on it, it depends on what material you're cutting, as there are quite a few options when you start researching it.
However, any common water soluble oil will do for the majority of bandsaw work, as it's not like it's going to effect the finish.
You just need something that will flush the swarf away, and provide a bit lubrication to stop swarf sticking to the blade.

How frequently will you use the machine?

Water soluble coolant, left for a long time in a tank with no circulation, can go bad.

For an infrequent user, a neat oil may be a better choice.

To minimise waste, mix up a small batch of the soluble stuff, throw some bricks into the tank so the pump sucks (or make a much smaller tank) and drain it afterwards.

Another option is to use a total loss system where you mix enough for immediate use and let it drain into a container.

That soluble cutting oil you found on Amazon will work fine. These metal band saws just need a basic water-based coolant mixed to the right ratio, usually around 5–10%. You don’t need anything fancy unless you’re cutting stainless all day.

I have the same bandsaw, used cutting fluid when I 1st had it but the mess it made on the floor put me off so have been cutting dry for the last few years
